This course runs for 7 weeks - via classroom (Royal Oak Middle school) + ZOOM (ie. hybrid teaching).

Whether you are interested in powerboats, sailing vessels or kayaks, this course is for you! Enjoy boating activities year around by taking Boating 3: Basic Navigation & Boat Handling - Part 2 course this year.

This is the third course in the CPS-ECP introductory series and explores navigation further as you learn how to plot and label on paper charts as well as what the skipper should be doing before setting out and when under way, handling a boat under sail as well as your environmental responsibilities and electrical hazards.

Course content: Navigation, Introduction to Plotting, Plotting and Labeling, Working with Paper Charts, Environmental Responsibilities, Skipper’s responsibilities before setting out and when under way, Electrical hazards, handling a boat under sail, Tides and Currents, Collision Regulations / Rules of the Road.
