Boating classes are held twice a year starting in September and January. The Boating 1: Boating Basics class is 3 weeks and will result in the issuance of a Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC). The Boating 2: Basic Navigation & Boating Handling - Part 1 carries on where the Basics left off -- this class runs for an additional 6 weeks. The third in our introductory series, is Boating 3: Basic Navigation & Boating Handling - Part 2 and also runs for 6 weeks. Classes are held at Royal Oak Middle School and virtually via ZOOM.
We also offer many self-study classes -- available anytime -- all material online.
In addition, Victoria Power and Sail Squadron offers several advanced courses (requiring pre-requisites) and occasionally elective courses each year. Check the following table for detailed information.
